Order of Events for JH Track Meet @ Central today!


March 30th, the Cedar Vale/Dexter Trap Shoot Team competed in Anthony, Ks at Anthony Gun Club. The team placed 2nd as a whole with a score of 463/500. Individual scorers were Jack Voegele who took 1st in the 11-13 age group, and Josiah Gage took 2nd in 14-15 age group. Great job boys!

On March 21st, Dexter Middle School soloists and the 6th Grade Choir traveled to Cowley College for the SCBL Junior High Music Festival. The 6th Grade Choir received Straight 1 Ratings under the direction of Mrs. Moore, performing the songs Hisakata by Victor C. Johnson and The Ghost Ship by Dave and Jean Perry.

The Dexter 7th/12th Grade Band and 8th/12th Grade Choir participated in the South Central Border League High School Music Festival on March 6th. The 52-person band performed Lullaby to the Moon by Brian Balmages and Glacier Canyon by Mike Forbes. The choir performed Dies Irae by David Farrell Smith and Sing Gently by Eric Whitacre Both groups received Straight 1 Ratings from the six judges at the festival. Congratulations on your dedication and expression of your craft!
